In Siddhesh Pradeep Satpute v. SBI, 2026 SCC OnLine Bom 3824, the Bombay High Court held that a shared autorickshaw commute does not automatically qualify as a “workplace” under the POSH Act.

 

An SBI employee was proceeded against for an alleged incident during the commute, but the Court found that since the vehicle was not arranged by the employer, it did not fall within Section 2(o)(v) of the Act. The ICC’s order was therefore set aside for lack of jurisdiction.
