SC Announces Partial Court Working Schedule from 1 June to 12 July 2026; Vacation Benches Constituted

Supreme Court 2026 vacation benches notification

In exercise of the powers under Rules 4 and 6 of Order II of the Supreme Court Rules, 2013 (as amended), The Chief Justice of India has notified the schedule for Partial Court Working Days for the year 2026. The Supreme Court shall observe partial court working from 1 June 2026 to 12 July 2026 (both days inclusive), while regular court functioning will resume from 13 July 2026.

The Chief Justice has also constituted the Benches that shall function during the said period.

During the partial court working period, the Registry shall remain open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for all officers and staff members, except Group-C (non-clerical) staff, whose working hours shall be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Registry shall remain closed on Saturdays (except 11 July 2026), Sundays and other notified holidays.
