The Literary and Debating Society of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata, is pleased to invite institutions and participants to the 18th Annual NUJS Parliamentary Debate (NUJS PD 2026), to be held from 6th to 8th March 2026 at the NUJS campus in Salt Lake City, Kolkata.
Established nearly two decades ago, the NUJS Parliamentary Debate has evolved into one of the most respected and competitive Asian Parliamentary debating tournaments in the country. Over seventeen editions, the tournament has consistently attracted leading debating institutions and accomplished speakers from across India. It has built a reputation for intellectual rigour, organisational excellence, and a commitment to meaningful public discourse.
The scale and standing of the tournament continue to grow each year. In its 2024 edition, NUJS PD hosted over 70 teams and more than 400 participants, with an average daily footfall exceeding 400 attendees.
