Cyber Cell cannot freeze bank account without informing Magistrate: MP High Court directs unfreezing; Disputed Amount to be kept in Fixed Deposits pending Magistrate’s Order
The Court directed that the petitioner’s bank account be unfrozen, which had been frozen on suspicion of cyber fraud and that the disputed amount be kept in separate fixed deposits, to be liquidated only upon the decision of the Judicial Magistrate in the matter relating to the alleged cybercrime or cyber fraud.
