RBI amends Operational Risk Capital framework for Commercial Banks: revised provisions to take effect from 1 April 2027
RBI has notified the Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks — Forthcoming Instructions) Second Amendment Directions, 2026, introducing changes to the operational risk capital framework, including revised Business Indicator mapping, treatment of operational losses and calculation of the Internal Loss Multiplier.
