India Labour Law Update 2026: 5-Hour Work Limit & Mandatory 30-Minute Break Explained
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has mandated, effective 14 May 2026, that no worker in India can work continuously for more than 5 hours without a break, alongside a compulsory minimum 30-minute rest interval.
