Retiral Benefits cannot be withheld arbitrarily: Calcutta HC grants interest on delayed gratuity
The Court held that a cooperative bank cannot withhold gratuity indefinitely on the basis of administrative autonomy, or pending criminal proceedings when no applicable service rule authorises such withholding.
