Two New Election Tribunals, Six-Week Disposal Target, ₹30,000 Filing Fee: BCI Acts on Supreme Court Directions for Bar Council Election Disputes
Following directions from the Supreme Court in Savita Devi v. Union of India finding the existing dispute resolution mechanism for State Bar Council elections inadequate, the Bar Council of India has notified two new Election Tribunals, headed by Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Hima Kohli respectively.
