NUALS, Kochi | National Seminar on Labour Laws, Indian Knowledge System and Constitutional Values

• The Centre for Women and Family Studies (CWFS) launched in the year 2014 as one of the advanced centres of research in the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, established by Act 27 of 2005 of the Kerala State Legislature is organizing a National Seminar on Labour Laws, Indian Knowledge System and Constitutional Values on October 8-9,2026.

• The Seminar aims to explore labour laws in India through the combined perspectives of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and the Constitutional vision of social justice. It examines how the ancient Indian ideal of Sarva Jana Hitaya, Sarva Jana Sukhaya (the welfare and happiness of all) aligns with modern labour rights and constitutional values.

• Theme: Exploring Labour Laws through the Indian Knowledge System and Constitutional Values- Sarva Jana Hitaya and Labour Rights in India’.

Who can submit: Academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, professionals, policymakers, and students.

How to Submit: Abstract of not less 500 words to be submitted by email to cwfs@nuals.ac.in on or before August 20,2026. Filename of abstract shall be ‘nameabs26’ (eg., rimiabs26). Only single authorship is permitted.
