Law College Dehradun, the Faculty of Law of Uttaranchal University, established in 2002 and renowned for its excellence in legal education, cordially invites you to participate in the 10th Law College Dehradun Inter-University Moot Court Competition. This prestigious event offers law students a valuable platform to demonstrate their advocacy skills, legal acumen, and analytical prowess, while fostering meaningful intellectual discourse and exchange among participants.
ABOUT COMPETITION
The Constitution of India is the supreme law of the land. In keeping with this spirit, the Inter-University Moot Court Competition organised by Law College Dehradun is a prestigious annual event centred on Constitutional Law, and one that is highly regarded within India’s legal circles.
The Competition is administered by the college’s Moot Court Society. Beyond its contribution to the field of Constitutional Law, it serves as a valuable platform through which young law students can demonstrate and hone their advocacy skills. The inaugural edition was won by NUJS, Kolkata, followed by National Law University, Jodhpur, in the second edition. The third edition was won by Hidayatullah National Law University, the fourth by Chanakya National Law University, Patna, the fifth by Christ (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, the sixth by Lloyd School of Law, Greater Noida, the seventh by Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Punjab, the eighth by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, and the ninth by NMIMS, Chandigarh.
This year, we once again cordially invite the foremost law schools, colleges, and universities of the country to participate, with the expectation of nurturing the proficient lawyers and judges of the future.
Dates of the Competition: – 09th — 11th October, 2026
Eligibility: Students of 3/5 year LL.B. degree courses from any institution recognized by B.C.I. and LL.M. students (not enrolled as advocates) are eligible to participate. Provided that only one team may participate per institution.

Registration Fee: To participate in the event, a non-refundable fee of INR 2000 is required at the time of pre-memorial registration. An additional fee of INR 4000 is payable after advancing to memorial knockout round, during the post-memorial registration process.

Scheme of the Competition: There shall be a Memorial Elimination Round to select 32 teams who shall compete in the oral rounds.
Please Note: There shall be a Researchers’ Test in addition to Preliminarily, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final Oral Rounds.
