Coinswitch WIPO UDRP Domain Dispute

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (“CAM‘) successfully represented Coinswitch in a domain name dispute concerning an impugned domain before the WIPO UDRP Panel. The WIPO UDRP Panel found that the Respondent’s use of the impugned domain satisfied all three requisite criteria, namely: (a) identical or confusing similarity to the Complainant’s trademark, (b) the Respondent’s lack of rights or legitimate interests in the domain name, and (c) bad faith registration and use. Consequently, the WIPO UDRP Panel ordered the transfer of the impugned domain to Coinswitch.

The team was led by Pallavi Rao, Partner; with support from Shrish Gautam, Senior Associate; and Mainak Mukherjee, Associate.
