The Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow, is welcoming Prof. Ramesh Kumar Verma as its new Head and Dean, with effect from 19th July, 2025. His tenure shall extend for a period of three years, or until his retirement, or until any further order, whichever occurs earlier.
Prof. Verma brings with him an exceptional academic and professional skills. He is an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), where he earned his LL.B. in 1994 and LL.M. in 1998. His academic pursuit culminated in the successful completion of his LL.D. from the University of Lucknow in 2007.
A distinguished scholar in the fields of Criminal Law and Intellectual Property Rights, Prof. Verma has contributed extensively through his research, publications, and teaching. His work reflects a deep engagement with contemporary legal challenges and an unwavering commitment to academic excellence. Over the years, he has mentored numerous students, inspired future legal professionals, and played a pivotal role in strengthening legal education and research within the institution.
Dr. Verma’s leadership extends beyond the classroom, as he actively engages in academic administration, guiding the University of Lucknow’s law programs toward excellence. His dedication to legal education and his ability to inspire students and peers reflect his belief in the transformative power of law.
