On 05.03.2025, vide a notification, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, Indian Legal Service, to the post of Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice, initially for a period of two years.

Dr Rana was previously the Additional Secretary in the Department of Legal Affairs.
