The Legal Aid Committee of Tamil Nadu National Law University is thrilled to invite you to La Festo- Our annual Legal Awareness Carnival aimed at fostering legal awareness and insightful conversations!

📍 Venue: Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli
La Festo is back with its fourth Inter-University chapter, promising to be bigger, better, and more impactful than ever before! Since its inception in 2016, La Festo has been a dynamic platform for merging legal insights with practical impact. Featuring a diverse range of events and competitions, La Festo-4th Edition promises thought-provoking discussions and captivating competitions on contemporary legal issues.
Here’s a glimpse of what to expect:
👉 Eyalvathu Karavel (Create Legal Awareness): Teams shall engage with residents of La Festo Village to uncover legal issues and provide legal advice through awareness programs and petition drafting.
👉 Therukoothu (Street Play): Team shall Showcase their ability to provide legal awareness creatively through a combination of Acting, Lyric Writing, Singing and Dancing.
👉 Plan Panni Pannanum (Poster Presentation Competition): Teams shall identify key challenges faced by Legal Aid Committees in providing legal aid and promoting legal awareness by proposing an action plan that addresses these issues through innovative solutions. (The Last date for submitting the abstract is September 25. 2024).
👉 Vaayai Moodi Pesavum (Mime): Teams shall translate complex legal concepts into compelling, wordless stories and perform an artistic mime on any of the legal issues mentioned in the brochure.
👉 Lights, Law and Action: The participants shall be presented with clips from popular movies, each highlighting a different legal issue, which shall be identified by the participants. Following which the participants shall give legal advise to the allotted characters.
👉 Panel Discussion: Join us in an insightful panel discussion on “Evaluating the need for Legal Aid as a Clinical Course in the Indian Legal Education Curriculum” which is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students.
