Khaitan & Co advises Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited in relation to its majority acquisition of Goodview Fashion Private Limited

Khaitan & Co advised Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) in relation to its majority acquisition of Goodview Fashion Private Limited (manufacturer and ethnic couture brand ‘Tarun Tahiliani’) by increasing its stake from 33.5% to 51%, by way of secondary purchase from existing shareholders.

Following the transaction, Goodview Fashion Private Limited, has become a subsidiary of ABFRL effective from July 11, 2024.

The core team consisted of Shourya Sengupta (Partner), Sneh Lata (Principal Associate) and Arka Banerjee Choudhury (Senior Associate).

The Firm was involved in the following:

Advising and assisting the Client in (i) structuring of the transaction; (ii) drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing various transaction documents; and (iii) closing related actions;
