About the Event

Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, takes immense pride in presenting its 1st Edition of National Youth Parliament, which is scheduled to take place on 25th-26th April 2024. This event would serve as an avenue for students to delve into the intricacies of parliamentary procedures, legislative debates, and the nuanced art of policymaking. This event would encapsulate the spirit of democratic values and encourages participants to explore diverse perspectives, while fostering a culture of respectful discourse.

Committees and Agenda

Several crucial topics have been brought to the forefront across various committees. Enumerated are the committees with their respective agendas:

  1. Lok Sabha – 1: Removal of Reservation in India on the basis of Caste System

  2. Lok Sabha – 2: Digital Privacy Legislation: Balancing National Security and Individual Rights in the Age of Digital Survelliance

  3. Rajya Sabha – Deliberation upon the Recent Penal Laws: Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam

  4. Akhil Bhartiya Rajnaitik Sangh – Deliberation upon the Breach of Parliamentary Privilege by MLAs and MPs.

  5. Bhartiya Mahila Sansad – Addressing Menstrual Hygiene at Workplace: Menstrual Leave Policy

  6. Bhartiya Patrakarita Samiti – Press Committee

General Rules and Guidelines of the Event

  • Participants must register individually.

  • Participants must attend committee proceedings at the scheduled time.

  • There’s no limit to the number of participants from one institute.

  • Disqualification may occur for participants engaging in indiscipline, as decided by judges.

  • Participants must adhere to event rules and regulations.

  • Organizing committee has the authority to make necessary procedural changes, with decisions being final.

  • No grievances regarding decisions will be entertained.

  • Unethical, inappropriate, or unprofessional behavior will be addressed by the organizing committee.

  • Any unspecified situations will be decided by the organizers, with their decision being final.

Eligibility

  1. A bonafide, full-time student, who is enrolled in a degree programme in any College/ University/ Institution, can register for the event.

  2. A school student in any school/junior college from 6th Grade onwards, can participate in the event.

Registration Fees – Rs. 1250 (+ Rs. 1500, if availing Accommodation Facilities)
