About the Organisation

National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU) is a public law school and a National Law University located in Bhopal, India. The NLIU Cell for Law and Technology (NLIU-CLT) was constituted at NLIU in the year 2019. The Cell has been continuously taking efforts to engage in a variety of activities to keep up with its vision to be ahead of the curve when it comes to the intricate interactions between technology and legal policy.

NLIU-CLT Article Writing Competition

The NLIU-CLT Article Writing Competition is organized by NLIU-CLT in collaboration with The Mentorship Project (TMP) and PSL Advocates and Solicitors. The Competition provides a unique platform for scholars, professionals and law students to explore and analyse the dynamic landscape of technology, law, and digital rights. The competition invites participants to dissect the profound impact of technology on our lives and the evolving legal considerations that accompany it. Further, the competition offers more than just monetary incentives, it provides a platform for legal enlightenment and academic discourse.

Details of the Competition

  1. Theme: The submission could be about any technological development or any aspect of the Technology law regime.

  2. Registration: Authors shall be required to pay an amount of INR 200 for single-author entries and INR 350 for co-authored entries (Maximum 2 authors are permissible for co-authored entries). Registrations have to be made through Google form only (The same can be accessed here).

  3. Eligibility: Students and professionals may participate either individually or in a team consisting of two (2) members. Participation is open to all undergraduate and masters students as well as industry professionals pursuing law and related subjects only.

Awards and Prizes

We are delighted to announce a host of exciting prizes and opportunities for participants in our upcoming competition. These include:

  • Cash Prize: Up to INR 15,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners.

  • Internship Opportunities:

    – Winner: PSL Advocates and Solicitors.

    – 1st runners-up: Professor or associate professor of NLIU, Bhopal.

    – 2nd runners-up: The Mentorship Project (TMP).

  • Publication Opportunity: The top ten articles will be published on the NLIU-CLT’s website, providing a valuable platform for showcasing your work to a wider audience. In addition, five articles will be selected for publication on The Mentorship Project website.

  • Certification of Merit: The top 20 participants will receive Certificates of Merit, recognizing their outstanding achievements.

Important Dates

  • Opening of Registrations and Submissions: November 28, 2023.

  • Last Date of Registration: December 25, 2023.

  • Last Date of Submission: January 10, 2024.

  • Declaration of Results: March 05, 2024.

    – Single Authorship: 200 INR

    – Co-authorship: 350 INR
