About the University

The Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU) was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu by an Act of State Legislature (Act No. 9 of 2012) to provide quality legal education at the global level.

TNNLU has been established with the following laudable objectives:

  1. To advance and disseminate learning and knowledge of the law and legal processes and their role in national development;

  2. To develop in the students and research scholars a sense of responsibility to serve society in the field of law by developing skills with regard to advocacy, legal services, legislation, law reforms and the like;

  3. To organize lectures, seminars, symposia and conferences to promote legal knowledge and to make law and legal processes as efficient instruments of social development;

  4. To hold examinations and confer degrees and other academic distinctions and to do all such things as are incidental, necessary or conducive to the attainment of all or any of the objectives of the University.

About the Organizer (NDLI Club):

TNNLU is the only law university that is a part of the NDLI Club. TNNLU-NDLI club was established in 2021 to disseminate and enrich the knowledge among the faculty members, students and the administrative staff of TNNLU. TNNLU-NDLI club is intended to organize various activities such as NDLI Lecture Series, NDLI Quiz, NDLI Story Talk, NDLI Go Fish, NDLI Film Screening, NDLI Draw, NDLI Role Play, NDLI Write On, NDLI Makerspace and NDLI Debate in Institute, state and National Level to promote reading habit among the students and faculty members.

Event Description:

The TNNLU NDLI Club is organizing a National Poster Making Competition. The central theme of the event is Library as a Gateway: Celebrating Inclusive Knowledge, with a focus on portraying libraries as inclusive gateways to diverse learning resources catering to interdisciplinary accessibility, ensuring they are available to all without discrimination, including special provisions for individuals with disabilities.

Guidelines:

  1. This is a submission-based individual event that invites entries from all the students of law across India.

  2. Participants must design an e-poster based on the theme “Library as a Gateway: Celebrating Inclusive Knowledge,”

  3. All the participants are permitted to submit only one submission.

  4. Participants must abide by ethical standards and avoid plagiarism, copyright infringement, or any other form of misconduct to maintain academic integrity.

Submissions:

  1. Participants must submit their submissions in digital format (JPEG/PNG/PDF).

  2. The postal shall be submitted in A3 size [11.7 x 16.5]

  3. The participants must submit their submissions through the Google Form latest by 25. 10. 2023 (11:59PM).

  4. Participant name or identifying mark must not appear on the submission.

  5. The poster submission should not use or imitate living or non-living personalities.

Announcement of Results:

  • Judging Criteria: Creativity, Originality, Presentation, relevance to theme and overall impression.

  • Date of Announcement of Results: 30. 10. 2023 (Tentative)

  • Prizes:

    • 1st Prize: Prizes worth Rs. 2000/-

    • 2nd Prize: Prizes worth Rs. 1500/-

    • 3rd Prize: Prizes worth Rs. 1000/-

  • All the winners will be provided a certificate of appreciation by the TNNLU NDLI Club.

  • The TNNLU NDLI Club reserves the right to limit the number of prizes based on the number of participants.

  • The TNNLU NDLI Club reserves the right to disqualify any participant who fails to comply with the competition guidelines or engages in unethical conduct.

  • In case of any conflicts, the decision of the TNNLU NDLI Club is final
