Army Institute of Law has announced its annual National Seminar scheduled to be held on 16th September 2023 and invites submissions for the same. The theme of the seminar is “Prospects of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence: Issues and Challenges”.

About the Seminar

As a part of its endeavor to facilitate knowledge exchange through academic research and discussion, this edition seeks to promote students/research scholars and professionals who have an avid interest in the intersection of law and technology. The seminar intends to focus on the issues, challenges, strategies, and reforms in providing a people-centric approach as it is pivotal for ensuring sustainable development for all.

About the Theme

The 21st century is marked by an era of digitization with the automation of AI and Machine Learning (ML) systems to the level of human intellect. The development in the space of technology has revolutionized industries and provided solutions to pressing problems. At the same time, the need to address the threats and consequences of cyberspace crimes, cloud computing, privacy breaches, and autonomous weapons systems, to name a few has been felt by countries across the globe now more than ever. Regulation of developments in IT and AI is challenging due to the pace of change and complexity of the technology involved.

Submission timeline

The last date for the submission of the abstract is 21st August 2023, acceptance of the abstract will be intimated on 24th August 2023. The last date for the submission of the paper along with the fee is 11th September 2023.

Submission Guidelines

  • An abstract of 250-300 words accompanied by details of the author containing his/her email ID, contact number, and postal address should be sent. The full paper should be between 3000- 5000 words.

  • Mentioning the sub-theme is mandatory.

  • It must be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12 on A4 size paper with a 1.5” margin on all sides with 1.5 line spacing using MS Word.

  • ILI citation pattern must be strictly adhered to while submitting the abstracts and full paper.

  • The paper should be single-authored.

  • All the abstracts and full papers shall be sent to: ailnationalseminar2023@gmail.com.

  • Registration Fee from the Participants: Academicians and Professionals- Rs. 1200 Research Scholars and Students- Rs. 700.
