About Our College

Government Law College, Mumbai was founded in 1855 and has established itself as one of the most prestigious law schools in Asia. Guided by its motto “Ne vile Fano” (let no evil enter), Government Law College has groomed some of India’s most celebrated and distinguished legal minds, who have held many important legal offices and revered positions in the country. Its illustrious alumni network has dominated the who’s who list of legal professionals in India for over a century and a half. It also bears the distinction of being the only law school in India to have produced the heads of all three arms of the government. The college is renowned for exemplary legal education under the tutelage of top-class faculty, which includes legal icons like Dr. BR Ambedkar, Lokmanya Tilak, Justice M.C Chagla, Nani Palkhivala and H.D Pithawala.

About Our Event

MUNSOC is organising its annual flagship event GLC MUN since 2008, which is a pan India Conference where more than 300 delegates from various educational institutes take part to discuss, deliberate and propose solutions on matters of National as well as International concerns. This year we look forward to organising the 13th Edition of GLCMUN with the aim to educate participants about International Relations, Policies and Politics and to provide an opportunity to further their horizon of knowledge by finding strong and amicably agreed solutions to the problems which affect the entire world.

Agenda – Mineral Resources extraction leads to Human Rights violations and Racial Subordination

2) UNGA – Disarmament and International Security Committee (UNGA – DISEC)

Agenda – i) Regulating the use of Surveillance Technology &

ii) Further measures in the field of disarmament for the prevention of an arms race on the seabed and the ocean floor and to the subsoil thereof.

3) United Nations Security Council (UNSC)

Agenda – The Situation in Afghanistan, with special reference to the recognition of the Taliban’s Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan under the International law.

4) G20 Summit

Agenda – i) Addressing the Tax Challenges arising out of the Digitalisation of the Economy. &

ii) Effectiveness and the Implementation of a Global Tax Agreement on Multinational Enterprises to deal with the problem of Tax Havens.

5) All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM)

Agenda – Misuse of the Government Agencies and Corrupting the Constitutional Bodies to silence dissent in India.

Preferred Language – Hindi, English

6) Maharashtra Legislative Assembly (MLA)

Agenda – i) Inter and Intra State Migrations in Maharashtra affecting the development of the State. &

ii) Discussing the Police Reforms in the State.

Preferred Language – Marathi, Hindi, English

7) International Press (IP)

Available Roles – Journalist or Photographer.
