The IDIA-West Bengal Chapter has been involved in organizing such events in the past too as the team believes that these sessions provide a great opportunity for students who plan to enter law schools and existing students of law to understand various aspects of life at law school. These sessions are taken by experienced people which helps the students to deconstruct what it takes to thrive in law school – while still giving them space to chart their own path.

In addition to being a workshop that helps students in improving their skills related to extra-curricular activities which are undertaken in the law school, the said event also serves the purpose of helping the underprivileged children who are interested in the field of law as all the amount raised by the event is utilized by IDIA Central team to fund the various expenses incurred in training and development of IDIA Scholars. We are also glad to share with you that this time SCC has agreed to join as a media partner for our event.

About IDIA

IDIA is a pan-India movement to train underprivileged students and help transform them into leading lawyers and community advocates. IDIA is premised on the notion that access to premier legal education empowers marginalized communities and helps them help themselves. IDIA selects and trains students from underprivileged backgrounds (IDIA Trainees) to crack top law entrance examinations in India. Once they are admitted to top law colleges, it provides a scholarship to these students (IDIA Scholars) that comprises financial support, training and mentorship among other things.
