On September 17, 2021, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has issued extension of timelines for Issuance of Electronic Policies and dispensing with Physical Signatures till March 31, 2022.
The circulars for which the dates have been extended are as followed:
- Circular No. IRDAI/Life/Cir/Misc/274/11/2020 dated November 11, 2020 on Dispensing with physical signatures on proposal forms.
- Circular No. IRDAI/Life/Cir/Misc/055/03/2021 dated March 22, 2021 on Dispensing with physical signatures on proposal forms.
- Circular No. IRDAI/Life/Cir/Misc/207/08/2020 dated August 04, 2020 on Issuance of Electronic Policies
- Circular No. IRDAI/Life/Cir/Misc/056/ 03/2021 dated March 22, 2021 on Issuance of Electronic Policies
