Government Law College adjudged winners of the 4th The Chamber of Tax Consultants National Online Moot Court Competition, 2020.

The 4th The Chamber of Tax Consultants National Online Moot Court Competition, 2020 was held on 26th & 27thSeptember, 2020. In light of celebrating its 90th Anniversary, the Chamber of Tax Consultants had introduced the National Tax Moot Court Competition in 2017 with the support of the Government Law College, Mumbai. This year marked the Fourth Edition of the National Tax Moot Court Competition.

The Final Round of Arguments and Valedictory Function of the competition was organised by the Chambers of Tax Consultants in association with the Moot Court Association of Government Law College.

The Final Round was presided over बी Shri Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Bombay High Court & Shri Justice Abhay Ahuja, Bombay High Court.

The Valedictory Function was presided over by Hon’ble Shri Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Hon’ble Shri Justice Abhay Ahuja, Hon’ble President Mr. PP Bhatt, Hon’ble Mr. Pramod Kumar, Mr. Anish Thakkar, Mr. Ketan Vajani, Mrs. Varsha Galvankar, Mrs. Niyati Mankad, Ms. Sonali Mathur and Ms. Ruchi Wagaralkar.

The winners of the Competition are as follows:-

Best Team: Government Law College, Mumbai (Priyanshi Chokshi, Aanchal Maheshwari & Tejal Kale)

Runners Up: School of Law, Christ University (Sharan Sanjay Goud, Adhya M, Niranjan Kumar)

Best Memorial: School of Law, Christ University (Sharan Sanjay Goud, Adhya M, Niranjan Kumar)

2nd Best Memorial: The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (Varun M. Nair, Neha Maria Antony, Rithika Rarichan)

Best Speaker: Ms. Aanchal Maheshwari (Government Law College, Mumbai)

2nd Best Speaker: Ms. Priyanshi Chokshi (Government Law College, Mumbai)
