About the Conference

Bharati Vidyapeeth (deemed to be) University, New Law College is organizing a One-day online conference on “Protection of Animal Rights in the Indian Legal System”. In light of some recent events that have affected the masses all over the world, a growing concern has arisen over the protection of animals too. It has been seen how animals have faced the brunt of the major climate changes, be it the constant deforestation over the years or natural calamities or most recently the COVID-19 pandemic. Animals and their plight have been one of the least addressed issues. In the light thereof, we at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), NLC aim to carry out effective steps by initiating such activities in order to help the animal community.

The present conference aims to invite academic work on the same and the selected papers will be published in a Special Edition of the Bharati Law Review, Volume VIII April-June Issue, 2020.
