About the Competition

The H.V. Perera QC Memorial International Moot Court Competition, instituted in 2018 by the Moot Society of Sri Lanka Law College, is Sri Lanka’s first international commercial arbitration moot. Held annually in memory of Dr. Herbert Victor Perera QC, an eminent figure in Sri Lanka’s legal fraternity, the competition has established itself as one of South Asia’s leading platforms for arbitration advocacy. The 9th edition, conducted from 17—20 July 2026, brought together law students from diverse jurisdictions to compete in a challenging arbitration problem that tested their legal research, written advocacy, and oral pleading skills.

DSNLU’s Performance

Representing Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), Visakhapatnam, the team comprising Siddhi Vinayak, Ravi Sukheshan, Divya, and Garvita Garg delivered an impressive performance throughout the competition. Carrying this momentum forward, the team advanced through the elimination rounds and secured the Second Runner-Up position.
