The Bar Council of India has directed universities to physically inspect all affiliated and constituent law colleges within six weeks following the Supreme Court’s observations in K.R. Sudersan v. Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The directions also require universities to discontinue impermissible weekend and evening law courses and ensure strict compliance with the Rules of Legal Education, 2008.
