ABOUT

The Campus Law Centre – Journal for Legal and Policy Research (CLC-JLPR) is the annual journal of Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. The Journal was established with the aim of bringing together the work of students, academicians, and practitioners across law and cognate disciplines who share our belief that legal scholarship must remain critical, interdisciplinary and open to reinvention.

SUBMISSION PROCESS & GUIDELINES

CLC-JLPR invites original and previously unpublished work for publication in its upcoming issue (Vol. 2). Authors are required to submit the full draft of their work, which will undergo an initial screening, followed by a rigorous double blind peer-review process. Thereafter, the finalised pieces shall be tentatively published by March 2027.

  • The Journal does not confine itself to a specific theme for submissions. Authors are encouraged to contribute on any area of law and its interplay with policy, provided the work is original, analytically sound and engages meaningfully with contemporary legal questions.

  • Co-authorship is permitted up to a maximum of 3 authors. For clarity, an additional three authors may be engaged, resulting in a total of 4 authors for a submission.

  • Authors are requested to submit their full draft through the dedicated submission portal for this issue (Vol. 2) using the Google Form:

    ⮚ The full draft

    ⮚ A cover page containing author(s) details

    ⮚ Selection of the category under which the author wishes to publish (to be indicated in the Google Form).

  • Categories & Requirements:

    ⮚ Articles: 5,000 — 10,000 words

    ⮚ Comments & Notes: 4,000 — 6,000 words

    ⮚ Judicial Trends & Legislative Trends: 3,000 — 5,000 words (Judicial Trends: Must analyse significant judicial pronouncements in India from the year 2026.)

    ⮚ Legislative Trends: Must provide a descriptive account of key legislative developments in 2026.

    ⮚ Book Reviews: 1,000 — 2,000 words (Book reviews must be limited to books published within the last five years.)

    ⮚ All the above-mentioned word counts are inclusive of footnotes.

  • Format & Citations:

    ⮚ Font: Times New Roman; Size 12 for main text, Size 10 for footnotes.

    ⮚ Line spacing: 1.5 for text; single for footnotes.

    ⮚ File format: Microsoft Word Document.

    ⮚ Citation Style: Indian Law Institute’s (ILI) Citation Style (strict adherence required). The citation guide is accessible [ILI CITATION STYLE].

    ⮚ Failure to adhere strictly to the citation style would result in rejection at the outset.

  • Anonymity and Cover Page Requirements:

    ⮚ To ensure an anonymous review process, the submitted final draft must not contain any reference to the identity of the author(s). The cover page must be uploaded separately and should include:

    1. Title, Name, University/Organization (if any), Educational Qualification, and Professional Status of the author(s).

    2. Acknowledgements (if any) in not more than 300 words.

EDITORIAL POLICY

  • Only original and unpublished work must be submitted for consideration for CLC-JLPR. The submitted work should not be simultaneously considered by any other publication.

  • Upon submission, the manuscript shall be the property of Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. On further reproduction, the authors would be required to credit the original publication in the CLC-JLPR.

  • Author(s) must take care that their work does not infringe on the rights of a third party and that they have obtained all the necessary permissions for the cited work.

  • All the submissions will be run through anti-plagiarism software, and plagiarism in any form will result in instant rejection of the submission.

  • Plagiarism must not exceed 10%. Additionally, manuscripts shall be screened for AI-generated content, the use of which is not permitted.

  • The decision of the Editorial Board shall be final in all matters.
