About the Society
The SIBRL society has been formed at National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) to discuss the legal, socio-economic and business issues related to the sector of Insolvency, Bankruptcy, and Restructuring Laws on a national and international level. The society aims to update the community at large, with the latest developments in these sectors via society’s blog posts, newsletters, online talks, workshops, and short interviews of experts on contemporary developments in the field of Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Restructuring laws. About the University
The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences was established under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 (West Bengal Act IX of 1999) adopted by the West Bengal Legislature in July, 1999. NUJS is considered one of the best amongst the elite national law schools in India built on the five-year law degree model proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India. The university offers a five-year integrated B.A./BSc. LLB (Hons.) degree programme at the undergraduate level and a Master of Laws (LLM) programme at the postgraduate level. The Chief Justice of India is the Chancellor of NUJS and is also the Chairman of the General Council, the supreme policy-making body of the University. Prof. (Dr.) Nandimath Omprakash V. is the Vice Chancellor of the University.
Submissions for the Newsletter
Submissions are invited for the 4th edition of the SIBRL-NUJS Newsletter. The Newsletter aims to contain a glimpse of the legal developments in the discipline of Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Restructuring laws, both in India and abroad. This includes (but does not limit to) new amendments, judgments, regulations, rules, and orders, relevant to the field of Insolvency, Bankruptcy, or Restructuring. The newsletter intends to cover contemporary issues in this field, which would lead to more informed discussions and, thereby, facilitate the emergence of new ideas and perspectives in the field of Insolvency, Bankruptcy, or Restructuring.
The instructions for submission are as follows-

The submissions should be around 500 to 800 words long.

The contributors are expected to provide some personal analysis (which may be crisp depending on the topics).

The posts should ideally cover events that took place after September 2025 (The month in which the development that you are writing about for the newsletter took place, must be mentioned clearly in the article.)

Footnotes/Endnotes are not required. Sources are to be mentioned using hyperlinks.
The submissions should be mailed to SIBRL’s ID (sibrl@nujs.edu) with the Subject- “Submission for the SIBRL newsletter”. Moreover, please do name your submission document in the following format <Name of Author/Co-Authors_Month pertaining to the submission>.
The deadline for submitting the articles is 30th May, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
