UILS Student Law Review call for papers 2026

The UILS Student Law Review (USLR) is a student-run academic journal of the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. It is published bi-annually and serves as a peer-reviewed and referred platform fostering meaningful engagement with contemporary legal issues. It seeks to encourage critical engagement with evolving legal issues while promoting high standards of academic writing and research.

USLR welcomes submissions from students and scholars across institutions. The journal adopts an inclusive approach towards legal scholarship and does not confine itself to any branch of law. By providing space for diverse perspectives, USLR aims to facilitate meaningful discourse on legal, social, and policy-oriented questions. We publish a wide range of contributions, including scholarly articles, case analyses, legislative commentaries, and book reviews.

A defining hallmark of USLR is its student-driven editorial process. The student Editorial Board actively manages various stages of publication, including manuscript review, editing, and organizational management. This hands-on involvement not only upholds the journal’s strict academic standards but also nurtures a culture of research and intellectual inquiry within the institution. The journal’s continued development and success are made possible only through the guidance and encouragement of the university’s leadership and faculty.

The editorial team expresses its sincere appreciation to our Patron-in-Chief, Prof. (Dr.) Renu Vig, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University (Chandigarh), our Patron, Prof. (Dr.) Shruti Bedi, Director, University Institute of Legal Studies and our Faculty Coordinator, Prof. (Dr.) Bharat.
