INTRODUCTION
The College of Legal Studies, COER University, Roorkee, is organising an International Conference on “AI & Cyber Security: Legal Issues and Challenges for Digital Future Towards Sustainable Development” (ICAICS 2026) from 24—25 April 2026 in hybrid mode (offline and online). This conference seeks to bring together academicians, researchers, professionals, policymakers and students to deliberate on how law can respond to the rapid transformation driven by artificial intelligence and cyber technologies while remaining aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
ICAICS 2026 is conceived as a platform to examine the complex legal, regulatory and ethical dimensions of AI and cyber security in a data-driven world. The core mission of the conference is to ensure that technological advancement supports human dignity, privacy, security and sustainability, rather than undermining them. By focusing on both doctrinal and policy-oriented perspectives, the conference aims to encourage critical engagement with issues such as algorithmic bias, cybercrimes, data protection, digital forensics and governance of emerging technologies.

COER University, Roorkee, situated on the Roorkee—Haridwar Road in Uttarakhand, builds on the 27-year legacy of the College of Engineering Roorkee and presently offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Its academic portfolio spans engineering, smart computing, management, agriculture, health sciences, nursing, pharmacy, paramedical sciences, legal studies, media studies, allied sciences and Ayurveda.

Call for Papers: Guidelines
Scholars, practitioners, students and policymakers are invited to submit original and unpublished research work that engages critically with AI, cyber security and law in the context of sustainable development.

Word limit: 250—350 words with 5 keywords.
Format: Times New Roman, font size 12, single spacing, justified.
Full Paper Submission
Word limit: 3000—5000 words.
Citation style: OSCOLA (4th ed.) / ILI / APA.
