Kunal Vajani

On 01-02-2026, Mr. Kunal Vajani has resigned from Fox & Mandal to focus on his independent domestic and international litigation and ADR practice.

In 2023, Mr. Vajani was appointed as the youngest and first lateral joint managing partner at Fox & Mandal. In this role, he excelled not only as an administrator but as a mentor par excellence, as he guided diverse teams and steered strategic growth across the firm.

During his distinguished tenure at Fox & Mandal, his stewardship was marked by exemplary contributions that shaped the institutional architecture of the firm. Mr. Vajani spearheaded the establishment and growth of the Delhi office while also leading the conception, structuring, and scaling of the Capital Markets and Real Estate practices.

Mr. Vajani’s expertise comprises the intricate realms of litigation and alternative dispute resolution, spanning civil, commercial, constitutional, and criminal (white-collar) matters. His credentials include his qualification as a Solicitor, Supreme Court of England & Wales, and a registered practitioner holding Rights of Audience before the DIFC Courts, Dubai.

Not only has he served as a Court Member (India) of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, Paris, from 2016 to 2024, but he has also acted as an arbitrator in numerous institutional and ad-hoc arbitrations, both domestic and international, which highlight his preeminence in dispute resolution.

Following his departure from Fox & Mandal, Mr. Vajani will continue his professional pursuits as an Advocate, Arbitrator & Mediator in his independent practice, whilst devoting himself to academic pursuits across jurisdictions alongside legal writing and mentorship.

Mr. Vajani stated that, “My decision to pursue an independent counsel practice is driven by a desire to focus more deeply on advocacy and trial work, particularly civil, commercial and white-collar trials, which I have been privileged to conduct across multiple jurisdictions, a distinction shared by few practitioners.”

He added, “This transition will also allow me to expand my global professional engagement and dedicate greater bandwidth to ADR, including acting more frequently as an arbitrator and mediator in domestic, cross-border, and treaty disputes, whilst devoting myself to academic pursuits across jurisdictions alongside legal writing and mentorship.”
