Resignation does not end anti-defection proceedings: Madras HC on AIADMK MLAs who resigned and later joined TVK
Madras High Court upheld the acceptance of resignations of 6 AIADMK MLAs who voted against the party whip to support the Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s TVK-led government and subsequently joined TVK, holding that their resignations do not extinguish pending disqualification proceedings under the Tenth Schedule.
