Industrial Relations Code

On 16-2-2026, the President assented the Industrial Relations Code (Amendment) Act, 2026, modifying the repealing provisions of Industrial Relations Code, 2020.

This Amendment will be in retrospective effect from 21-11-2025.

Under the revised section, the following enactments are repealed:

The newly inserted sub section (1A) to Section 104 clarifies that, despite this abolition, all Tribunals and statutory authorities functioning under the repealed laws will continue to operate until the corresponding Tribunals and authorities under the Industrial Relations Code 2020 become functional.

This ensures continuity and prevents any adjudicatory vacuum during the transition.
