The Centre for Personal Laws Studies (CPLS) and the Matrimonial Dispute Resolution Cell (MRDC), Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, are proud to present the 1st National Client Counselling Competition.

This national-level competition aims to test and enhance one of the most essential lawyering skills, which is effective client counselling. Participants will engage in simulated consultations, demonstrating legal acumen, ethical clarity, strategic thinking, and empathy.
The competition will feature problems primarily drawn from Family Law, Constitutional Law, and Law relating to Succession, engaging both codified and uncodified legal principles.
Eligibility:
* Students from 3-year and 5-year law programmes (any year)
* One team per institution (2 members per team)
* Limited to 40 teams on a first-come, first-served basis
Prizes:
* Winner: Trophy + ₹15,000
* Runners-up: Trophy + ₹10,000
* Best Counsel: ₹8,000
* Runner-up Counsel: ₹5,000
