Transgender applicants in Law Courses

On 26-11-2025, the Government of Kerala notified the allocation of additional supernumerary seats for Transgender applicants in the Integrated Five-Year / Three-Year Law Courses offered by Government and Self-Financing Law Colleges participating in the admission process.

This notification, issued by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (‘CEE’), Kerala, introduces 2 supernumerary seats in each course exclusively for applicants belonging to the Transgender category.

Conditions of Admission:

  • The Courses covered are: Integrated Five-Year LL.B and Three-Year LL.B programs in Government and Self-Financing Law Colleges across Kerala.

  • 2 additional seats in Integrated Law Courses are only open for Transgender persons.

  • The Applicant should be included in the Rank List published by CEE.

  • Applicants must produce a valid Identity Card proving their Transgender status:

    ○ Identity Card issued under the Transgender Protection Act, 2019 in Form 5 or Form 6 by the District Collector/District Magistrate, or

    ○ Identity Card issued by the Director of Social Welfare.

  • All documents specified under Prospectus Clause 19 (excluding the Allotment Memo) should be produced during application submission.

  • Applicants are required to pay the prescribed fees at the respective college as per Government/University orders.

Application Procedure for the Admission:

  • Eligible candidates should submit their applications directly at the respective colleges on 29-11-2025, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

  • Admissions will be finalized on the same day before 4:00 PM, and colleges must upload admission details to the CEE portal by 5:00 PM.
