Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) acted as the legal advisor to Hyderabad Institute of Oncology Private Limited (“HIOPL”), which operates the Omega Hospitals oncology network, in connection with its acquisition of a majority stake in Cytecare Hospitals Private Limited (“CHPL”), a Bengaluru-based cancer care provider.
This acquisition marks Omega Hospitals’ entry into the Bengaluru oncology market and forms part of its broader national expansion strategy to strengthen its presence across India.
