Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as the legal counsel to CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited (“CG Power”) in arbitration proceedings before the Learned Sole Arbitrator Justice Akil Kureshi (Retd.), Former Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court and Rajasthan High Court, arising out of a supply and works contract. The Learned Sole Arbitrator passed an arbitral award allowing CG Power’s major claims with interest and rejecting all the counter-claims raised against CG Power.
The arbitration involved complex contractual issues including those relating to minimum guarantee, take-or-pay obligations, etc.
