Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad (SLS-H) successfully organized a three-day observance of Constitution Day from 24th to 26th November 2025, aimed at deepening constitutional awareness and fostering meaningful reflection among students, faculty, and staff. The programme featured curated academic, cultural, and reflective activities that underscored the continuing relevance of the Indian Constitution in contemporary society.
Day 1 — 24 November 2025
The observance commenced with the screening of Samvidhan by Shyam Benegal, providing attendees with an engaging introduction to the making, evolution, and foundational principles of the Indian Constitution. The documentary offered valuable historical context, setting the tone for the discussions and activities that followed over the next two days.
Day 2 — 25 November 2025
The second day featured formal addresses by faculty members, including an insightful talk delivered by the programme coordinator, accompanied by Dr. Shyamsundar Chitta, Deputy Director, SIBM-H. The speakers highlighted the enduring relevance of constitutional values, the role of citizens in safeguarding democratic ideals, and the importance of strengthening civic consciousness.
This was followed by a Constitution Quiz, designed to encourage students to revisit key constitutional principles, landmark judgments, and the overall framework of Indian democratic governance. The quiz received enthusiastic participation and fostered active engagement with constitutional literacy.
Day 3 — 26 November 2025
The final day of the observance commenced with a thought-provoking faculty-led skit on “Constitution and Future Generations”, emphasizing the responsibility of young citizens in upholding and transmitting constitutional values. Short faculty reflections further enriched the session by offering diverse perspectives on constitutionalism and its practical significance.
A Prize Distribution Ceremony was conducted to recognize the winners of the Constitution Quiz, followed by the Constitution Pledge, reaffirming the community’s commitment to constitutional ideals. The observance concluded with the National Anthem, marking a solemn and reflective end to the three-day programme.
This multi-day initiative reaffirmed Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad’s commitment to promoting constitutional literacy, civic responsibility, and nation-building values within its academic community. Such programmes play a crucial role in shaping informed, responsible, and empathetic future leaders.
