FSSAI proposes restrictions on analogue dairy products; non-milk products may no longer be sold as ‘paneer’
FSSAI has released draft regulations proposing to prohibit the use of the term “paneer” for products made from constituents not derived from milk, with the objective of preventing consumers from being misled about the nature and composition of such products.
