NLU Jodhpur CyberPeace MoU

3rd April 202, New Delhi. CyberPeace Foundation and National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote research, academic engagement, and capacity building in the areas of cyber law, technology regulation, and digital governance.

The MoU was signed at CyberPeace’s office at New Delhi. It provides for the establishment of the CyberPeace Chair as a dedicated research vertical within NLUJ’s existing Centre of Excellence for Research and Applications (CERA). The collaboration will focus on joint research initiatives, policy publications, seminars, workshops, student internships and fellowships, national conferences, and public awareness programs on cyber safety and responsible technology use.

Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur, Vice-Chancellor, National Law University, Jodhpur, stated: “The establishment of the CyberPeace Chair within CERA, NLU Jodhour will strengthen techno-legal research at NLUJ by combining CyberPeace practical experience in cyber policy and crime mitigation with NLUJ’s academic excellence”.

Maj. Vineet Kumar, Founder & Global President, CyberPeace Foundation, said: “Internet is powerful, keep it peaceful. This partnership marks a significant step towards creating a secure and peaceful cyberspace”.

The collaboration aims to develop strong research capabilities and prepare the next generation of professionals equipped to handle emerging challenges in digital governance.

Over the next one year, NLU Jodhpur and CyberPeace will undertake structured activities including institutional setup and launch of the Chair in the first few months, followed by workshops, guest lectures, policy briefs, and student internships. The subsequent months will feature a national policy roundtable, student research symposium, and publication of research outputs, culminating in a national conference on law and technology governance, release of an annual research report, and evaluation of activities for future planning.
