About the Call for Blogs

The Centre invites original and well-researched submissions for its Call for Blogs on the theme “Protection, Participation, and Privacy of Children in the Digital Age”.

The digital landscape increasingly shapes children’s lives across education, communication, and social interaction. While it creates significant opportunities, it also poses serious risks to their rights.

This Call for Blogs seeks critical academic perspectives on strengthening legal and policy frameworks to protect children while ensuring their participation and privacy in the digital environment.

Theme

“Protection, Participation, and Privacy of Children in the Digital Age”

Submissions are invited on any relevant issue falling within the broad ambit of the theme. Suggested sub-themes include, but are not limited to:

  • Children’s Data Privacy on Social Media Platforms

  • Artificial Intelligence and the Protection of Children’s Rights

  • Gaming Platforms, In-App Purchases, and Child Safety

  • Children’s Freedom of Expression in the Digital Sphere

  • Platform Liability for Harmful Content Affecting Children

  • Any other sub-theme related to the broader theme

Eligibility

We invite original, non-plagiarised submission with minimal to no usage of AI generated content from Undergraduate law students enrolled in 5-year B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B. or equivalent programmes or Undergraduate law students enrolled in 3-year LL.B. programmes.

How to Submit

Interested applicants may submit the manuscript through the link provided at the end of the post.

Submissions must be in .doc/.docx format.

Formatting Guidelines

Word Limit: 1200-2500 words

Font: Times New Roman

Font size: Size 12 pts for the body, Size 10 pts for Footnotes.

Line spacing: 1.5 for body; 1.0 for Footnotes.

Alignment: Headings should be centre-aligned; the article text should be justified.

Submissions: Send your entries in .doc or .docx format (Word file). 

Citations: Adhere to a uniform citation style for the entire document.

Prizes

The top submissions will be awarded as follows along with Certificate of Merit:

1st Prize: ₹2500

2nd Prize: ₹1500

3rd Prize: ₹1000

Selected entries will also be considered for publication on the University’s official website of the Centre.
