Aequitas Conventus 2.0, 2026

The Legal Aid and Awareness Committee in collaboration with the Pro Bono Club, School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus, proudly presents Aequitas Conventus 2.0, 2026, a national-level conclave dedicated to strengthening the spirit of access to justice and pro bono service among budding law professionals.

Under the theme “Law with Compassion: Advancing Legal Aid and Pro Bono Culture,” this one-day academic forum aims to bridge the gap between legal education and community service. The event brings together students, faculty, and practitioners to discuss innovative approaches to legal aid and the importance of compassion-driven advocacy in today’s justice system.

The conclave will feature two key events:

  • Annual Best Practices Competition (HYBRID) (Competition 1): designed to showcase innovative legal aid practices and outreach initiatives undertaken by university legal aid committees during the academic year 2024—2025. Participants will highlight their committee’s work through structured presentations focusing on objectives, methodology, impact, and innovation.

  • Annual Legal Consultation Competition (ONLINE) (Competition 2): a dynamic simulation of client counselling and advisory sessions. Teams will address both civil and criminal legal scenarios, testing their practical knowledge, communication skills, and ethical decision-making abilities.

The competitions aim to encourage law students to apply their classroom learning in real-world contexts, promote interactive problem-solving, and develop a deeper understanding of the values underpinning pro bono work.

Mode of Conduct:

  • Annual Best Practices Competition (Hybrid): On-campus participation will be mandatory for institutions in and around the NCR region, while others may participate online through the designated virtual platform.

  • Annual Legal Consultation Competition (Online): All rounds will be conducted virtually through the designated platform.

The event will also recognize excellence with cash prizes, certificates, and trophies for winners and runner-ups in both competitions.

Through Aequitas Conventus 2.0, 2026, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus, continues its commitment to fostering social responsibility, empathy, and a lifelong dedication to pro bono service within the legal fraternity.
