Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) and the Centre for Fashion, Media and Entertainment Law (C-FAME), in collaboration with Nishith Desai Associates are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the inaugural National Conference 2026 on Media, Entertainment, and Technology Law. This first edition aims to provide law students with a platform to engage critically with emerging issues at the intersection of media, entertainment, and technology law.
About Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU)
Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), Visakhapatnam, is a leading public law university dedicated to excellence in legal education, research, and capacity building. About C-FAME:
C-FAME is one of India’s first academic legal centres dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of Fashion Law, Media and Entertainment Law, and seeks to promote high-quality legal scholarship and informed dialogue among the modern law students of today, on contemporary legal issues and developments affecting creative and digital ecosystems. Established in 2024, the Centre laid the foundation for it’s academic initiatives by launching a Seminar in 2024, on “Introduction to Fashion, Media and Entertainment Laws” to establish awareness and understanding on these novel areas exclusively for the students of DSNLU, with Ms. Namrata Pahwa (Chambers of Namrata Pahwa, Delhi) as the guest speaker.
About the Call for Papers and Conference:
The Centre for Fashion, Media and Entertainment Law (C-FAME), Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), Visakhapatnam, is conducting the C-FAME, DSNLU – Nishith Desai Associates: Call for Papers and National Conference, scheduled to be held on 4th and 5th April in offline mode at the Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Visakhapatnam campus. Nishith Desai Associates is the Knowledge Partner of the Event. Mr. Aaron Kamath, Co-Head of the firm’s Tech, Digital & Commercial Law Practice, would be representing NDA in the Expert Panel of the Conference, with his crucial involvement in the paper review process, paper presentation evaluation, panel discussions and ultimately contribute to thought leadership in the conference.
Original abstracts are invited from undergraduate and postgraduate law students. Selected authors would be invited to submit a full-length, well-researched original paper and present their paper offline at the Conference.
The Conference is centred on the theme “Media, Entertainment and Technology Law: Navigating the Future of Digital Governance and Creativity in India”.
The conference will be judged by a distinguished panel of academics and practitioners, ensuring the highest standards of scholarship. This competition aims to engage participants in a rigorous intellectual exercise on emerging intersections of Media, Entertainment and Technology Law, and ultimately, provide them with the avenue to present and publish their research on the same. Panel discussions and keynote sessions with the expert panelists will be arranged, to create a truly enriching experience of academic discourse and learning on these cutting-edge legal domains of the Indian creative and digital ecosystem. Selected papers will be eligible for consideration and further shortlisting for publication in an official compilation book, and winners will receive internship opportunities at Nishith Desai Associates, cash prizes, and certificates of merit.
