The team comprising Tanisha Nambisan, Varsha Ganji, Aishwarya S, and Ananya Jha, students of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, emerged as the winners of the Asia Pacific Vis Pre-Moot 2025. The prestigious competition was held offline at BICAM, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, from March 21 to March 26, 2025.
The Asia Pacific (APAC) Vis Pre-Moot serves as one of the most prominent preparatory rounds for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. This year, over 100 teams from across the globe participated in the preliminary virtual rounds. The team from Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, showcased exceptional legal acumen and advocacy skills, successfully qualifying among the top 32 teams worldwide before proceeding to the offline knockout rounds in Malaysia.
Throughout the course of the competition, the team engaged with some of the most reputed institutions across the world, including the University of Malaya, the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Tsinghua University, and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, among others. In the final rounds, the team argued against Shanghai Jiao Tong University, securing a remarkable victory and bringing laurels to the institution.
