National Legal Services Authority: On 17-06-2025, the Gujarat State Legal Services Authority (‘SLSA’), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (‘NALSA’), launched an immediate legal and psychological aid initiative titled “Plane Crash Legal Support Helpdesk” in the aftermath of the tragic Ahmedabad Plane Crash. It is an emergency response mechanism that provides legal aid services as well as psychological counselling to aggrieved persons.
About the helpdesk for those affected by Ahmedabad Plane Crash:

It is a fully functional 24×7 Helpdesk which has been set up to provide continuous legal assistance and walk-in support.

It is being manned by trained legal aid lawyers who are offering guidance on essential legal matters, including assistance with documentation, identity verification, and claims.

Qualified advocates have been deployed to offer direct legal counselling to the affected families. These advocates are providing real-time legal advice and helping individuals navigate the procedural aspects of loss and recovery.

Recognizing the emotional and psychological trauma resulting from the tragedy, a dedicated ‘Trauma and Grievance Redressal Support’ has been provided.

Psychological counseling is being provided through the Victimology Centre named ‘Sangathi’, for victims and their families.

All services under this initiative are being provided free of cost, in tune with NALSA’s mission to ensure justice and support for every individual in need.
