DGCA notifies new airline ticket refund rules; faster refunds and 48-hour cancellation window introduced
To address growing passenger grievances over delayed refunds and opaque cancellation policies, the DGCA has issued new Civil Aviation Requirements prescribing mandatory refund timelines, a 48-hour “look-in” cancellation option, and full refund of statutory taxes across all fare categories.
