About UPSIFS
UPSIFS is a flagship institute of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated in March 2024 and affiliated with the National Forensic Science University, Gandhinagar. Spread across a 50-acre campus, the institute is equipped with world-class forensic laboratories designed for practical learning, research, and innovation.

Internship Structure
The programme is structured across six weeks:

Weeks 1—2: Introduction to forensic science, law, and UPSIFS laboratories

Weeks 3—4: Specialisation selection:
○ Forensic Science & Law
○ Digital Technology & Law

Weeks 5—6: Industry/lab visits, project work, and final presentation
Advanced Lab Exposure
Interns will gain exposure to cutting-edge facilities, including:

DNA forensics (PCR, sequencing, genotyping)

Toxicology and chemical analysis (GC-MS/MS, HPLC, FTIR)

Digital microscopy and document examination
-
Cyber tools: ethical hacking, AI/ML, cryptography, and multimedia forensics
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Students from Forensic Science, MBBS, B.Tech (CSE), LL.B., LL.M., MBA, MSc, or PhD
-
Minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.0

Total intake: 100 interns
Fee Structure

Hostel (Food + Lodging): ₹15,000

Non-hosteler: ₹2,500
