Amity International Moot Court 2025

Amity Law School, Noida successfully organises the 15th edition of its flagship Amity International Moot Court Competition, 2025 (paperless).

Amity Law School, Noida (ALSN), one of India’s premier institutions for legal education, successfully hosted the 15th Amity International Moot Court Competition (AIM 2025) from 9th to 11th October 2025. The event, organised by the Moot Court Society, was held in an offline format at the Amity Law School, Noida campus and witnessed enthusiastic participation from national and international universities.

Guided by the vision of “Second to None”, ALSN continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence and practical advocacy. AIM 2025 brought together several teams from distinguished institutions across India and abroad, reaffirming its reputation as one of the most prestigious moot court competitions in the country.

Theme and Proposition

The moot proposition for AIM 2025 was based on the theme “The International Community and a New Crime of Aggression — The Case Concerning Alphalpha and Anonymous Victims.”

The problem examined the evolving landscape of Public International Law, engaging participants in complex issues surrounding state sovereignty, humanitarian intervention, and collective international accountability.

Inaugural Ceremony

The competition commenced with an SCC Online Training Session and the Researcher’s Test, providing participants with an opportunity to refine their research and analytical skills before the rounds began.

Rounds and Proceedings

The Preliminary Rounds witnessed compelling advocacy and rigorous legal reasoning as participants argued before panels comprising experts from the Bar and academia.

Eight teams advanced to the Quarter-Finals.

The Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals showcased the intellectual depth and composure of the participants, who impressed the judges with their mastery over international law and courtroom demeanour.

The Grand Finale was contested between Army Institute of Law, Mohali (TC 105) and Government Law College, Madurai (TC 112). Both teams exhibited exceptional research, advocacy, and legal articulation. After a riveting final round, Army Institute of Law, Mohali was declared the Winner, while Government Law College, Madurai was adjudged Runner-Up.

The Valedictory Ceremony, held on Saturday, 11th October 2025, marked the grand conclusion of AIM 2025. Following esteemed members of the judiciary from India and Nepal graced the ceremony –

The dignitaries commended the participants for their exceptional advocacy, composure, and nuanced understanding of international jurisprudence. Their words underscored the importance of mooting as a dynamic platform to bridge theory and practice in global legal education.

In her address, Dr. Sahai expressed profound gratitude to all judges, participants, and volunteers for their dedication and teamwork, emphasising that AIM 2025 was not merely a competition but “a celebration of international legal intellect and cross-border collaboration.”
