In a resolution dated 28-01-2026, the Executive Committee of the Delhi High Court Bar Association (“DHCBA”) resolved to firmly oppose any initiative to enhance the pecuniary jurisdiction of the District Courts from the present value of Rs. 2 to 20 Crores.
The Supreme Court, in its order dated 19-12-2024, provided specific guidelines regarding the reservation of posts for women and the election process. These directions necessitated a review of the existing election framework by the Delhi High Court, which had earlier scheduled the elections for 07-02-2025.
Registrar General of Delhi High Court acceded to the proposal of Providing access to Lawyers to their respective chambers situated in three
