Petroleum Ministry has notified an order mandating households in PNG-connected areas to switch to piped natural gas, with LPG supply liable to cease after three months if the switch is not undertaken.
MoPNG has notified Natural Gas (Supply Regulation) Order, 2026, under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 to secure priority sectors and ensure equitable distribution of LNG in response to supply crisis.
This deal marks the first ever CCD issuance in India’s city gas distribution sector and represents one of India’s largest capital raises via a hybrid instrument in this financial year, strengthening IOAGPL’s capital position and supporting its gas infrastructure expansion.
